The 2009 Mid-Year Forum will be held April 22 to 25 in Washington, D.C.

This annual forum provides an opportunity for Academy leaders and leaders of allied ophthalmic organizations to identify and discuss critical issues facing ophthalmology. These leaders provide important contributions to the development of Academy policy.

Academy Advocacy
See what the Academy is doing for you in Washington.

Congressional Advocacy Day
Advocacy Day 2008 will be held April 22 to 23 in conjunction with the Mid-Year Forum. During Congressional Advocacy Day, Academy members will be educated about legislative issues relevant to the Academy and the ophthalmic profession. Academy members will meet with their U.S. senators and representatives to present the concerns and positions of the Academy and the profession.

Council Meeting
The Council will meet in conjunction with the Mid-Year Forum from April 24 to 25. At this meeting, the Council will discuss advisory recommendations for the Board of Trustees.
