Haiti Earthquake Relief: Donate

The Academy expresses its deep concern for the people of Haiti in this time of crisis and turmoil, especially for our colleagues and their families.

Foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology
The Foundation's Disaster Relief Fund will provide ophthalmic resources and help our colleagues provide much-needed patient care. All of the funds collected in this restricted account will be used for Haitian recovery efforts.

Task Force on Haiti Recovery
To respond the urgent and ongoing need for quality eye care in Haiti and to coordinate ophthalmic recovery efforts, the Academy has formed the Task Force on Haiti Recovery, led by former Academy president, Michael W. Brennan, MD. Learn more about the initiatives of the task force.

Interested in Volunteering?
The Academy has received several inquiries regarding volunteering in Haiti. Currently, emergency relief organizations are primarily seeking trauma response surgical teams.
